The 2009 season of the Sustainable Food Policy Board is wrapping up. I ain’t going to lie to you. With all the procedural etiquette that the City requires for a proper Board, these meetings tend to drag at times. But, their heart is in the right place. To stay organized, they have three standing committees. Food Production and Business Committee: Identify issues, research and make policy recommendations related to SFPB’s mission and charges relating to food production and the local economy. Food Access and Wellness Committee: Identify issues, research and make policy recommendations related to SFPB’s mission and charges relating to food access and wellness. Executive Committee: Review meeting agendas, plan and manage SFPB activities.
